After crossing paths in Cincinnati, fellow Kubert alum, comic artist Gavin Smith enters the tiger pit to tell his tales of “legend” and “new frontiers!”
Gavin is currently illustrating IDW’s, “Star Trek: Mirror War” that’s currently on shelves now. So bold go into the new frontier with beefcake Picard and all your favorites from the Next Gen era.
We also sunk the blue claws deep into the origin of how Smith’s own passion project came to be. From the not so subtle inspirations of 80’s badassery of action/martial arts VHS’s and the support of publishing house A Wave Blue World, “Dead Legends” round house kicked onto shelves and into faces.
With volumes I and II already in the can, it sounds like a third is possibly waiting in the shadows. So dip those fists in ceremonial glass, kick those trees till shins break, and make peace with your sensei cause volume three is gonna get intense!
